Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has managed to install 2008.11 to a Xen domU
running on a Linux dom0.

I got 2008.05 to work fine on 2 differnet computers running different
versions of Xen. Both are Gentoo dom0's. The AMD box is running Xen 3.1.3
with no pygrub support. I had to mount the iso to get the pv kernel out
following some instructions online but other then that it worked fine. The
Intel box is running Xen 3.2.1. This one did support pygrub but required some
extra steps I found on another site to start the debugger during boot. In the
end they both worked.

When I decided to try 2008.11 I removed the lvm partition and recreated it
then modified the Xen config file to use the 2008 iso. Following the same
procedures on both computers I was able to get the LiveCD iso to boot but on
both computers during the install no disks are detected like they were on
2008.05.

I tried "format -e" and the disk was detected. I can also make a zfs pool
and filesystem on it but the 2008.11 installer just doesn't it. Starting the
installer from command line with the option to enable extra logging I could see
in the log file that the install was disabled after not finding any disks.

Does anyone know if this is a problem with the installer or with Xen?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

   Thanks.
