Good day! I have the following trouble when running Opensolaris 2008.05 from USB flash drive (just regular installation? not LiveUSB):
It is no problem to install system from LiveCD to a single 10GB partition or the whole 16GB flash drive. Solaris' GRUB is chainloaded by the main bootloader, and system boots from USB flash drive till the console message, telling that it's usage is subject to license terms. I.e., if I understand correctly, till kernel and modules are loaded. But it never comes to "probing devices" message - machine just reboots silently. The computer in question is an old plain Intel-only notebook (even without WiFi module). Opensolaris LiveCD works there just fine when booted from external USB DVD drive. Did anyone meet a similar problem, or may be there already is a solution? This message posted from opensolaris.org
