Can you post zpool status -v ? normally this is the process I followed to replace my failed drive in raidz.
take out the bad one. insert the new one in same slot. zpool replace <pool> <disk> zpool online <pool> <disk> # this should show it's re-silvering. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
