Installing OpenSolaris in the same partition will NOT affect the ubuntu bootloader now in the MBR. Thus, BEFORE anyone installs OpenSolaris to try to do a dualboot with Ubuntu, it is highly advisable to create a chainloader in Ubuntu. Otherwise, doing a reboot in the newly installed OpenSolaris will only boot back into Ubuntu. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
