MSI has recently introduced a series of Turion64 based notebooks (one of them weighs ~4 lb):

A friend of mine decided to move from Windows to Linux, because OpenOffice.org 2 (beta) on Fedora Core 4 runs much smoother than MS Office on WinXP Pro. With a properly written driver for the Xpress 200M chipset, Solaris + StarOffice 8 + GNOME could come out to be a big winner.
