Not that I know of.  The mechanism for getting a console login from
the dtlogin screen is pretty hackish.

I think that if you're not working on ON or explicitly testing
something not yet integrated, BFU will likely do you more harm than
good.

Depends on your needs.  If you need support, patches, or the most
well-tested option, go with Solaris 10.

If you want to track current development, use SXCE.  SXDE is a
confusing marketing name; it's used inconsistently by Sun to refer to
a variety of different characteristics; among these is the use of
milestone builds incorporating fewer high-risk changes.  Depending on
which of these aspects someone means when saying 'SXDE', it may be
better or worse than SXCE; it's even more confusing that if build X is
an SXDE milestone build, there will also be an SXCE release of build X
which has the same Solaris content and thus offers the same
reduced-risk angle.  I have no idea why Solaris Marketing thinks
confusing customers is a good idea but there it is.
