Wonderful! I have dispelled the darkness of ignorance, configured my disk to be ready for a live upgrade, performed the lu, given an init 6 and..
..it hanged at boot! :( Some further information may be needed at this point: the system I am running is a toshiba satellite M40 with 1 GB RAM, a Pentium M 1.86GHz processor, a toshiba MK8025GAS 80Gb HD, Mobility Radeon X300 video card. I attach the output of #prtconf -v The upgrade I performed was from sol10u3 to SXCEb_76. The problem does not seem to be related to ACPI, or at least is not solved using one among the documented options for acpi_user_option. Booting the newly upgraded enviroment with the debug kernel showed that the last driver loaded is the one for pci8086,2448 which is identified as "Subtractive Decode PCI-PCI bridge" by prtconf Running the debug kernel for the old Sol10 BE showed that the next driver loaded is pci1179,ff10 which I belive is the component that causes the hang with SXCE, but I cannot understand what it is. Suggestions will be greatly appreciated as always. Valerion This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
