Hi: I'm running sol10sxcr_nv49 under VMWare workstation 6.1 (... mention of the VMware part is just for completeness in case that is related to the problem about to be described).
I need to upgrade to sol10sxcr_nv82 (the latest). However, as I go through the installer prompts, it (the installer) doesn't seem not recognize that a previous version of Solaris already resides on the seleced disk to, in turn, offer an UPGRADE option (i.e. it doesn't identify an upgrade possibility). It does however, later on, offer the opportunity to "PRESERVE" existing data on the Solaris root disk (c1t0d0), just not the ability to UPGRADE it. Any ideas? Thank In Advance.
