About once a week this machine freezes completely and doesn't even respond to
Stop-A, or even to disconnecting the keyboard. The system is pretty busy (50%
avg. across all 4 cpus) with a lot of network traffic, but seems to die when
the load is least. After the freeze, the displays are still being refreshed,
but all network traffic ceases, and the keyboard and mice are unresponsive.
Stop-A does work normally otherwise.
It passes the OBP diagnostics and ran Solaris 9 with no freezes or panics for
more than a year. This problem was much worse with an earlier version of snv
(around 45 or so).
The only way to recover seems to be to power cycle, which isn't great. This
leaves nothing to look at - no crash dump, nothing in the logs.
Does anyone have any suggestions for ways to get something useful out of this
to submit with a bug report?
