If you have a service that repeatedly fails or causes the startup mechanism to fail there " should " be some logs available .
Try to run : # svcs -xv to find out if any service is in maintenace mode and why . ( read the logfiles that this command should suggest . ) The scripts you are having problems with is AFAI can see Gnome backend script to support GUI based service configuration. In my SNV89 system, GNome session has not spawned services-admin . Or maybe it did during logon and the process terminated normally. Does this problem occur if you create another user account and login as another user with a brand spankin new gnome respository . ( ie $HOME./gnome2 and $HOME./gconfd ) which holds the gnome configurations for a user. //Lars This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
