I'm having the same problem. I have http://blastwave.network.com:10000 added as repository in the Package Manager in OpenSolaris 2009.6. I'm not a power user or particularly good with the command line so I tend to only use Package Manager to install new software.
I use OpenSolaris as my main machine but haven't updated my packages for a few days...tried to do it today and no reponse. So I deleted Blastwave out of the Package Manager and attempted to re-add it only to receive a time-out error. If you visit http://blastwave.network.com:10000 in a browser it doesn't respond. It usually brings up the same logo and appearance as http://pkg.sunfreeware.com:9000. The port 10000 is for the IPS packages to be used through the Package Manager. If you do everything through the terminal you don't need it. Way easier for a novice like me to use IPS...I wonder why its suddenly down? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
