I've been hitting my head against a wall with this for a month now. I concede
- I need help!

OK. I've been running OpenSolaris 9.06_x86 for about a year now, installed in
Sun's VirtualBox. Love it. Now want to run it native, but...

Booting from the CD, it error's out after loading the LiveCD system, probing
devices, setting up ZFS filesystem... Gets my input for keyboard and language.
Then goes to a OpenSolaris console login. I log in with the generic login and
password - which gets me to a console (terminal) desktop prompt($)...

Then it gets an error "opensolaris is routed[798]: route 0.0.0.0/8 --> 0.0.0.0
nexthop is not directly connected" and hangs. Tried waiting it out to se if
it would do anything else - but/no. That was it.

Yes, I've searched for "this" error on "this" forum. It occurs in 2 posts over
90 days ago, with 1 response to one of the posts that just said "Don't worry
about the error message above; this is not the cause of your problem" with no
further explaination at all to that user, except saying that he's not getting
to a graphical login... (no comment, lol) Frustratingly, I don't see that
anyone really addressed or answered this.

I can't get further than that to boot into the LiveCD to even get to the
install. I can "Ctrl-C" back to a console prompt... but don't know enough
about the native system commands to try to boot the graphical system from
there. The x86 Automated Install CD? Also a no-go. But "Solaris 10" installed
just great when I had another of my drives connected for that.

The hardware looks OK under "Sun's Device Detection Tool" - says that there is
no driver for my PCI sound card and that one of my 2 NIC types is going to need
a 3rd party driver, but that everything else is covered by OpenSolaris/Sun
Drivers.

The system is as follows: ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe ALife Gaming Edition. AMD64
FX/60, AMI BIOS flashed to 1405, 4GB DDR-400 Performace Dual Channel Memory,
nVidia nForce4 chipset, nVidia GeForce 6800GT SLI's (times 2/bridged), Onboard
Marvel Yukon II (times 2) etherfast, onboard AC97 sound turned off in BIOS,
Memory hole remapped in BIOS, Wifi-G AirCard, 2 CD/DVD Drives (Sata), 2 PATA
drives, 4 SATA drives, two eSata's used, 4 USB removable storage devices, MS
natural multimedia keyboard, MS wireless mouse explorer 2.0...

I think the graphics are supported, as I use pass-through settings for graphics
from VirtualBox with no problems. You would think that if it hit the sound
card or the Marvels during the probe, that the error would be for a missing
driver or device error... telling me that it needs to be set up manually (such
as the Solaris install does).

Please! Any ideas, explanations or help to figure this out - would help me keep
my sanity. I'm just really getting frustrated trying to figure this one out.
