Solaris Express Community Edition is a different OS than OpenSolaris 2008.05, so you're not really running 2008.05 and any instructions applying to it won't work for you. The pkg image-update will only work between OpenSolaris releases - even if you installed SUNWipkg on SXCE, it wouldn't be able to upgrade the existing OS, only allow you to build a new OS image in a new filesystem that you could then switch to - if you don't have much data on the system, a fresh install will be much simpler and faster. -- -Alan Coopersmith- alan.coopersm...@oracle.com Oracle Solaris Platform Engineering: X Window System _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
