OpenSolaris is a delightful OS, but it can be tricky in a dual boot situation. When I was first trying it out, I installed it in VirtualBox, which gives you the full functionality of the guest OS without the commitment of installing it "on bare metal."
I think you got your initial GRUB Error 22 not because of installing OpenSolaris, but because you had deleted the SUSE partition. I suggested fixmbr because I had assumed that the data you really cared about was on the Windows hard drive. I am not sure how to salvage your OpenSolaris installation, but you shouldn't care very much if you lose it, since it is brand-new. If you still want to have the dual boot setup, I think you can just reinstall OpenSolaris from the CD. I would make sure to back up the data on the Windows drive first, however. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
