The overview describes the main components of the original source code on
which the OpenJPEG source code is based. The OpenJPEG source code is newer
and likely more efficient than the original source code, but the overview is
still quite accurate.
The original source code is also available from the same web site. The main
page states "The source code for the codec is freely available for anyone to
study or even for use in commercial programs".
