I think I have experienced this on my own profile, but was not aware
that it was a widespread issue, nor that it was triggered by editing the
profile. Is this always reproducible or merely random? (I haven't yet
filled by profile texts back in.)

Voted.

I guess this is a server-side issue, not a viewer bug, so viewer version
probably doesn't matter as long as it's new enough to use web profiles.
If it can be repro'd without using the viewer at all (only using an
external browser), we can be sure.

It's common to let users file their issues themselves, so that they will
be recorded as the reporter who can be asked for more information, if
needed. What's more worrying, is that support didn't find (or didn't
bother to search?) the already filed issue on jira.

I guess support was as unaware of the scope of this issue as I was until
now.
