I agree. But I think it would be sufficient to maintain a list of pointers
to software which can be linked against openssl (like there is in SSLeay's
FAQ).

Speaking of which, there is a lot of good information in the SSLeay FAQ
(but perhaps occasionally now a bit out of date). Um, I wonder if the FAQ
is "part" of SSLeay such that we can extend it for OpenSSL under the
standard arrangement? It refers to the standard SSLeay COPYRIGHT for
license and redistribution information, so I guess it would be ok as long
as we maintained the copyright notice for the original version.
