Folk,
I am responsible for the server that currently distributes the SSLeay mailing
lists. I believe that these lists should and will die, and interested parties
should move across to openssl lists. Before suggesting this to ssl-users,
I'd like to poll the feeling over here for automatically redirecting all
ssl-users traffic to a new (or existing) openssl list. I can easily arrange
this, but would only pass the membership list across to OpenSSL after allowing
adequate time for existing ssl-users to be aware, and to unsubscribe or
complain.
The openssl-dev list *isn't* the right target. Is openssl-users? I believe
that we should also have openssl-apps or openssl-apache lists to attract those
who persistently fill ssl-users with apache questions. Comments, anyone?
I'd like feedback from the hardcore folk first, hence this is posted to
openssl-dev.
