rse> I've personally no objection to incorporate your VMS patches.
rse> The problem is just that we cannot support it, because AFAIK no

I can support it, if that would be intereting.
rsa> But that shouldn't mean your stuff cannot be included. But it
rsa> should perhaps at least stay in a separate directory
Sure, that's what I've done with everything that can get there.
rsa> and the makevms.com should be there, too.
And all the other VMS-specific .com files that are now found in apps/,
crypto/, and so on? I strongly object to that, for the same reason
you'd object to have all the Makefiles moved to a single separate
directory :-).
rse> Nevertheless you should at least post your changes to this list,
rse> so we can make a better decision.
Some of the diffs will be pretty huge. A fellow hacker and I have
rehacked all the VMS-specific .com files to enhance flexibility. So,
what I propose is that whenever I catch up with the rest of you (I
should count a week, perhaps two, still), I'll produce diff files for
every directory where I've made changes, and put them at an FTP site
for you to pick up at your leasure. Sounds good?
