I'm stealing this ticket from Steve, hope he doesn't mind.

Patch for the 0.9.8-dev development line applied.  I've placed the
gzip-tarred 0.9.7b patch in our contribution directory
(http://www.openssl.org/contrib), since we don't add new features in a
released branch.

This ticket is hereby resolved.  Please test tomorrows snapshot, and
report bugs as a new ticket.
