[opensuse] Compac SR2050NX with Lightscribe DVD Drive

Will SuSE 10.x work with this DVD drive?  I don't care about the text 
writing capabilities, I just want it to work like a normal DVD RW 
drive.  I've googled this to death and the information returned is 
overwhelming with unrelated data to the point it is useless.
