Why not?

I know that you can get it from SUN, but with that installer you can
not get it to run properly on SUSE linux.

What kind of "not work properly" it seems OK to me?

Ok, you got me.. last time I tried SUN installer was 1.5 update 8 or 9
I think. At that time, the installer seemed to install it only for me
- i.e. only one user in the system. Compare that to YaST, where you
click install, and then it's installed for all users (and you do not
even have to think where it will be installed as it's automatically
installed in the correct place). Quite a difference I'd say! And as I
do not want all my users to install personal copies, I'd say it
doesn't quite work properly. And by that I mean, it doesn't work the
way it should in linux or SUSE. It's the same as when you install
something on windows and it happens to break it. Everybody accuses of
windows, even though the fault was mostly from the software that you
installed as it didn't follow windows conventions for example.
Besides, installing a rpm with YaST is so easy that there is no need
for a "windows like easy installer".

But I might be totally wrong as I haven't actually checked the java 6
installer. So, correct me if I'm wrong and if it has been changed.
