As root in a terminal window you can use yast for the ncurses version or 
yast2 for the GUI version, <SPACE> and then hit the <TAB> key for all the 
various options to run a single instance of say 'yast2 disk &' for the 
partitioner or 'yast2 lan &' for NIC config. The ampersand backgrounds the 
process which allows you to run more than one thing from that single 
terminal window.
