Thanks for the reply Todd, Oh yes, I did that several times... (old windows habbit). I restarted the machine also!
Each time I change the resolution and try to save it a window comes with "Test" button. This takes me to a screen that looks like adjusting screen size and position etc, I guess this also restarts the x-server.
