Maybe a bit simpler for this case:

Filter "Installation Summary" (this is a lot more versatile than most users 
are aware of);

Check status "Keep" and "Update", uncheck the others;

-> you will see all packages that are currently installed and all that are 
already marked for update.

Click on the "version" heading (installed version or candidate version) in the 
package list; packages will be sorted by "color":

- red   packages (installed newer than any available) first
- blue  packages (newer version available for update)
- black packages (no newer version available)

Usually you won't have any red packages.

To update all where this makes sense, use the context menu (right mouse 
button) or the "packages" menu and select "all in this list" -> "update if 
newer version available".
