OK, after fighting this for two days I can't reproduce it now, either
from menu or terminal windows.
I'm running: SuSE 10.2 32
Firefox 2.0.0.11-14 (From SuSE link via Yast)
Gimp 2.4.2-0.pm.2 (From SuSE link via Yast)
I am currently updating both programs via Yast to see if that helps.
Thinking about it, I updated gimp a couple days ago, about the time this
problem started.
BTW, the problem has been consistent over the past couple days, but has
suddenly stopped occurring.
I will let you all know if the new versions make any difference.
