Well, I think it will be available some time next week, but I can ask Martin about that. > Next thing I found exploring OTC server is quite complicated way of > adding new packages to the server. We already have that. :-) OpenOffice? It is also already done. :-) It is not in the release archive due to its size... And that it is a bit more complicated comes from the fact that we need to add some configuration and startup wrappers around the programs so that the system is manageable within our system. > I would also like to know how to set-up an eviornment with two PXE boot > servers - one for thin clients (OTC) and one for desktops (FOG - > www.fogproject.org <http://www.fogproject.org>). That's also very easy. Just don't put the next-server and filename options to the global section of the DHCP server but create a group containing your desktop PCs and put the options in there. Create a second group in DHCP containing the ThinClients and only issue them their IP addresses as they will get those options from the OTC server. Then, in the OTC management, you have to configure just those PXE Clients that are really ThinClients. OTC server and the other DHCP/PXE server have to be on different servers though because they need to occupy the same TCP/UDP ports. -- Bye, Tobias Abt levigo systems gmbh ----------- ein unternehmen der levigo gruppe Max-Eyth-Strasse 30 Telefon: 07031 / 4161-10 D-71088 Holzgerlingen Telefax: 07031 / 4161-11 Geschäftsführer: Oliver Bausch http://systems.levigo.de/ Registergericht: Stuttgart HRB 245 180 USt-ID: DE813226078 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: SourcForge Community SourceForge wants to tell your story. http://p.sf.net/sfu/sf-spreadtheword _______________________________________________ The Open Source Thin Client Solution http://openthinclient.org [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openthinclient-user
