Transcript written on /tmp/openvasmd_LbQvP7/report.log.

Looks like I just pulled a bonehead... my test env is a Ubuntu 9.10 Desktop
Ed. my production Server is Ubuntu 9.10 Server Ed... Thereby, the server
initially has a greatly reduced default package install profile, I never
accounted for this, and no checks or errors occurred during setup...

Had to install

"texlive-latex-extra"

PDF creation worked fine after the changes were affected...

As for HTML... I had to install a load of other Tex / Latex packages...

latex2html, tth hyperlatex, etc... Not sure which package actually resolved
the output to HTML though...

On a side note, I noticed one other behavior I wanted to ask about... I
notice now in GSA when setting up scan targets... In the GTK client you
could specify a range like 192.168.0.1-192.168.0.100, in GSA it seems it
wants the target host list only by host, separated by comma, or in a format
like 192.168.0.1/24... Is there a way to re-allow the partial scan ranges
again... eg. x.x.x.x-y.y.y.y ??? Or even eventually allow for a upload of
a client side 1-IP per line text file or something??

Thanks to all for your Saint like patience and tolerance to me as I get
started with all of this...

Cheers,

Matthew Coene

this looked OK so far.

Can you examine /tmp/openvasmd_pdflatex_out ?
Any error message in there?

Best
