Hello OpenVAS community,

after several successful years it is time to update the steering group team.
Responsibilities could/should be reordered according to available time to
invest into OpenVAS and other personal constraints.

See here for the current setup of the steering team:

  http://www.openvas.org/team_tasks.html

I do not think it would be a good idea to create a very formal and complex
steering team structure. IMHO we need only two things to update/discuss:

1. Update main roles with what is in fact practiced since years.

2. Add roles where we see needs _and_ find people to seriously
   take over responsibility for it.

My proposal for 1) is:

Development coordinator: Jan-Oliver Wagner
Infrastructure coordinator: Michael Wiegand
Administrative coordinator: Tim Brown

For 2) IMHO the most neglected task is Public Relations and the most failing
one is Documentation coordination. Dozens of other aspects can be discussed
but I like to stress that we should identify and focus the top 2 or 3 aspects.

The Developer Conference next month might be a good time for
a final discussion and decision making.

Opinions welcome!

Best

        Jan
