Wow, it’s sure a lot easier getting CentOS running OpenVAS than Kali!!! While
they’re still using openvas-check-setup version 2.3.0, (what’s up with that?),
the rest seems up to date. Didn’t even have to do the gnupg makedir that Kali
needs.

Does Atomic have the latest? (Scanner 5.0.4 , Manager 6.0.5 , Greenbone
Security Assistant 6.0.5)

Thanks Eero, I’ll try that too. I saw you’re earlier comment on this but was
hoping to get Kali updated. I may be able to get this working before the
pre-built VM is done downloading!

How about installing Centos 7 / RHEL 7 and then just installing openvas8 from
atomic repo?

I think it's easiest way for "newbies".
