In that thread, you can also see that you got a NAK on that patch - and
that's no different from sending a patch via PR that gets NAKed.


As a side note - we do trace open bug reports in our trac, and patches
can be attached to that.  It won't help if a patch is not accepted, but
if you think you need github PR to avoid "things getting lost", put them
in trac.
