How does redirecting all internet traffic over the VPN get me near the desired 
situation?
I'd prefer internet traffic from clients to go over their own local default 
gateway and only VPN traffic over the VPN.
I also don't see how it would solve the 'double IP address when at the office' 
issue.

It could be a possible solution, but if possible I'd like to stick to bridged 
networking instead of routed. It makes stuff so much easier on a number of 
levels.

Does anything like that exist already?

Or is there a way to get feature requests to the OpenVPN developers?
