 Had the same problem on WDR4300 v1.6 trunk as well as 12.09 final. To my
 understanding it has something to do with
 https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_Efficient_Ethernet in the AR8327N
 switch driver and only occurs when connected to specific network devices
 (so far I've heard of Technicolor 7200 and Ziggo UBEE Modem). So i took
 jonm's patch from this thread
 https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=48086&p=2 and applied it to
 latest trunk a few days ago, effectively disabling EEE on the WAN port.
 Completely solved all my problems with OpenWRT - having a rockstable
 connection now. I put up some images from this build in this thread:
 https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=47689 for testing purposes. I
 hope some dev could take some time and look into the EEE switch drivers
 for us to (hopefully ;-)) be able to use our devices running OpenWRT in
 combination with the devices mentioned above.
