I can confirm, that the patch supplied in the topic
https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=48086&p=2 indeed does fix the
problem! Instead of having a useless piece of hardware, I can now enjoy
OpenWRT in it's full beauty.
Please could this be fixed in the Trunk? That would even make this better.
