The provided error log from bittorf in comment:23 shows the IRQ issues
with ath9k while his router is in its booting phase.
So rigth after the PCI system registers the ath9k card it shows:

[ 27.820000] irq 40: nobody cared (try booting with the "irqpoll"
option)

In contrast to this observation, I am refering to the IRQ issue that got
triggert while normal transmit operations of the ath9k WiFi card, long
after the router booted.
I have contacted the author Bittorf to recheck this on his side. As it is
either a different root cause in r43238 with his UBNT Bullet M or our
current troubleshooting with the ath9k patch in question is not
sufficient.
