I get it, but a hardware reset is nevertheless a sign that something
happened which shouldn't have...
For some reason, I haven't seen this issue on my TP-Link WDR4300, only on
my Netgear WNDR3700. I haven't tried provoking the error on the WDR4300
though, as that's my main router.
Anyway:
I have now recompiled r43823 with your patch applied, and I can confirm
that I couldn't cause the issue to appear when performing the steps you
outlined. I did get a bunch of the usual ath9k DMA-errors though, but it
didn't crash. With the original r43823 the error was easily reproduced, so
I think it is safe to say that the patch works as advertised.
