I've finally test that patch, and i can confirm it works.
Looking at the code (i'm not a kernel hacker, so...) i've found better to
patch not prom.c but instead the file board_bcm963xx.c.
Attached my patch, that you can put on target/linux/brcm63xx/patches-3.3/
folder and rebuild the firmware.
