finas: I thought feeds were a fundamental part of the revision/expected
behaviour, so I took the trouble of trying to restore past feeds and
recreate an exact snapshot because I thought I would _decrease_ the number
of variables. Is that wrong? (Trying to learn for the future). Congrats on
your terrific detective work :)
