cleanly build for this as we will probably have to host it ourself. (And

There is a .spec file which is known to compile 1.44 for RHEL5 in the
GitHub repo tag1consulting/hphp; this may be modified to do a higher
version and use the gcc44 compiler - I haven't tried.
