That depends on the "this" though. This "this" seems to me to be very much ok with mitm'ing, while doing a little bit to recognise the downsides of mitm'ing. I'm not objecting to attempts to describe reality, but am rather arguing that achieving rough consensus on something starting from that "this" is not worth the effort, as we've I think seem demonstrated a couple of time recently.
