Hello, I am monitoring a Windows 2003 server using the Opsview agent. The Host Check Command I am using is NRPE (on port 5666) and it is set for "on demand". Often on the weekend I will get a lot of critical notifications stating "CHECK_NRPE: Socket timeout after 10 seconds." for the monitored services on this server. If NRPE is really unavailable wouldn't the host show as down and suppress all of the "Socket timeout" messages or am I confused on a concept here?
