I agree GLP works best in a manufacturing/production lab.  However even 
research labs can use GLP.  It's a matter of how you go about your 
individual lab procedures.  Yes, you do different procedures each day, 
but each day there is proper handling of reagents, cleaning of equipment, 
and running of standardized documented laboratory test procedures.  These 
can all be part of the ISO process.  If you are developing NEW procedures 
you need to methodically document each step so that it is reproducible by 
someone other than you.

This thread has gone waaay off topic, however the principles mentioned 
above are also applicable to DBA and development work WRT new procedures 
and methodical documentation.
