Your second step
2)alter user scott default tablespace tools,(before it's users)
isn't that I explained in previous mail.
In this case You have to
1) drop emp table
2) either alter user scott with another default tablespace or specify
another tablespace in create table clause
3) create emp table again (of course check all constraints, triggers,
indexes etc.)

You can check tablespace of your tables in tablespace_name column of data
dictionary view user_tables

hi...

can you give the exact steps for ur 2nd option.

1)exp scott/tiger tables=emp,
2)alter user scott default tablespace tools,(before it's users)
3)imp scott/tiger fromuser=scott touser=scott

But still oracle imports to users tablespace itself.
i made users tablespace off, before import, that case, i kicked away by an
error, as tablepsace is in offline.

Expecting your answer.

Nirmal.,

     above 8.<something>
     alter table <table_name> move tablespace <tablespace_name>;

     Or always you can
     1. export table
     2. recreate in another tablespace
     3. import data in table created in step 2.
