How do you startup & shutdown the database on NT/W2K ? As I am able to, from the DOS Command Prompt

Hands on training, may it be $$$ or self taught at home is necessary. But $$$ is definitely not a requirement. I use Oracle at work and do more Oracle at home for my certs. I am able to log-in to Oracle on Linux and Solaris. Oracle WinNT/2K is another story since you cannot really use: sqlplus /nolog connect / as sysdba startup as you would on Unix.
