Paula Ensure the first line of the file has something like #! /bin/csh I agree with Brian that if you're simply installing this application with no requirement to maintain it, then no worries. If you end up maintaining it, beware. C-shell superficially resembles bourne/korn shell, but actually differs in some critical aspects. Sneaky little things that can bite you when you least expect it. Originally c-shell was created to overcome some deficiencies in bourne shell, but when bourne evolved into korn, in my opinion that eliminated the need for c. Either way, have a little talk with your vendor's developers about what the heck they are doing.
