The Senior Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) brings proven experience
from related businesses or organizations as well as system integration and
technology experience (more than 10 yrs experience).
Complete Description:
Minimum 3 years of multiple implementations of SAP BW with expertise in BI
3.5 / 7.0 versions.
Experience with BW Financial objects ( FM, FI, AP, AR, GL, SL.) particularly
Funds Management objects both Former Budgeting and BCS related, experience
converting from Former Budgeting to BCS; experience making major config
changes to an existing system.
Role Description:
* Be able to work effectively with IT and functional areas staff;
* Design and develop BW reporting architecture for an organization on
an enterprise level;
* Anticipate and resolve BW data extraction, data loading, and
reporting issues when integrating new development into a production
environment;
* Analyze, design and configure delivered, generic and custom BW data
sources (full and delta enabled);
* Analyze, design and configure BW data loading, via process chains,
to BW reporting objects;
* Analyze, design and configure BI Transfer rules and update rules (BI
3.5);
* Analyze, design and configure BI Data Transfer Processes (DTP, BI
7.0);
* Analyze, design and configure reporting solutions using Application
Development Processor
* Analyze, design and configure Process Chains
* Integrate 3.5 and 7.0 data transformations in the same data flow
* Design and configure BW data targets;
* Design and configure MultiProviders;
* Design and configure BW queries and workbooks utilizing BEx
functionality;
* Design and execute unit and integration test plans;
* Analyze, design and configure reconciliations between BW and data
sources;
* Analyze, design and configure reporting solutions which combine BW
and BOBJ tools
* Design and configure data targets and queries for optimal
performance (aggregates, partitioning, compression);
* Develop detailed documentation for BW architecture designs;
* Meet project deadlines, accept responsibilities, and report
progress;
* Be proficient in MicroSoft desktop applications;
* Ensure that all project goals are accomplished according to
specifications and reporting requirements;
* Determine time estimates and schedules for own and dependent work
and resolve issues in a timely manner;
* Identify and track issues, risks and action items;
* Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting
own work and related work of the project team. Develop contingency plans as
necessary.;
* Consistently provide accurate and detailed estimates;
* Execute all assigned responsibilities with little direct
supervision;
* Proficient in BW design and architectural discipline;
* Effectively provide knowledge transfer to Commonwealth peers.
