Thanks for the yahoo tip; I'll go ahead and try that. I have a few more
questions though:
First, every time I reboot, I have to reinstall my modem driver.
It's like it gets killed every time. I'm installed to the hard drive and
everything.
Second, is there a way to efficiently disconnect the modem without
having it get clogged up? For example, the following scenario drives me
mad:
I'm logged into the net, and going along just fine...and then
someone calls and my modem gets kicked off. But it's still trying to
get back that lost connection. Because it's still sitting there blabbing
at me and distracting me from my conversation, I go into that buffer and
hit ctrl-c Ctrl-C. But then when I go to wvdial again, the program can't
get access to the modem. Can I do anything about this? Is there a better
way to disengage wvdial, for this type of situation or because I need to
make a phone call?

Thanks,
Terrence
