I take the freedom in this post to precise my wishes regarding the future Oralux 2 environment. I wish a light, low resources, environment connected to Internet and helpful at distinct moments in the day. For example: 1. sit down in front of a screen, 2. during a face-to-face meeting, 2. standing up on a crowed bus, 3. gardening, 4. etc... Most of our GNU/Linux distro concern point 1: sit down in front of a screen. The environment is often a graphical one, it is sometimes text-based. But the screen is omnipresent. Interactive softwares, web pages have been designed for the screen. As a conclusion, I hope an embedded and multi-modal solution. Je souhaite un environnement léger, économe en ressources, relié à internet et utile à différents moments de la journée. Par exemple : 1. assis face à son écran, 2. durant un face à face en réunion, 2. debout dans un bus bondé, 3. au jardin, 4. etc... La presque totalité de nos distributions GNU/Linux concernent le point 1 : assis face à un écran. L'environnement est souvent graphique quelque fois en mode texte. Mais l'écran reste omniprésent. Les logiciels interactifs, les pages webs ont été conçus pour l'écran. En conclusion, je souhaite viement une solution embarquée et multi-modale.
