Dan,
I am still quite pleased that it compiles successfully, but it is
still giving the same Container error and I am following your previously
posted instructions and running the oxf-launch in the J2EE Container for
OXF. Any ideas?

To switch the jdk right click on build.xml and select
Run | 2 Ant Build...
. In the dialog there is a JRE tab where you can specify the JRE used.
If I recall correctly the option "Run in the same JRE as the workspace"
in that tab isn"t used because when that is used the property
project_loc doesn"t get set...

Am not so sure you have a working build. The ant script is supposed to
setup the WEB-INF dir in the root of the project.

What launch config did you run?
What happens if you do the following?
o Select Run | Run...
o Select oxf-launch in the tree on the left
o Click Run
