To begin, a response to Mr.Izquierdo is important as he has mistakenly stated aosmembers.org widely distributed a letter it received from Mr. Christenson. A letter from Mr. Christenson did come to our email address, however he had copied it to a large group of people any one of whom could have distributed the letter to others. We at aosmembers.org read the letter and filed it. It was never distributed to anyone by any member of our group. We expect Mr. Izquierdo to be more cautious in the future before making any statements regarding Members for a Better AOS. He is not a member of our group and therefore has no knowledge whatsoever of any action taken by us.
We also will not respond to misguided and disgruntled comments made yesterday by Dorris. Our group is following the correct procedure set up by AOS to propose an alternate slate of officers. Due to the current diversity of opinion as to future direction of AOS, we are working diligently to see that all AOS members have an opportunity to choose their President and Executive Vice President this year. We have been following the conversations between Dr. Grove and Mr. Easton. We appreciate the manner in which each has presented their opinion, however we agree with Dr. Grove and feel he has a much better grasp of the real issues facing AOS and the membership. We are not motivated by animosity toward AOS. We are excited by the opportunity to make it better for each and every member. To us, this means bringing the focus back to education, conservation and research which will benefit everyone. We feel Mr.Bronstein and Mrs. Eloe are dedicated to these goals.
